Department/Unit Overview:
10 Bed Unit on the 2nd floor of the Sentara Heart Hospital
Patient population includes: Cardiac patients (not surgical), pulmonary hypertension, heart attacks, heart failure, sepsis, and this unit is the MRT for the Heart Hospital.
Education
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale
Experience
Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care ICU hospital RN experience

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
