The PayNow Manager leads and oversees a team of agents responsible for managing escalations related to ACH and check payments issued on behalf of carriers. This role is accountable for ensuring the team accurately investigates and resolves payment-related issues, including address discrepancies, payment amount discrepancies, and other concerns in accordance with department standards. The PayNow Manager ensures the team delivers consistent, timely support across all channels, including cross-departmental support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of agents handling escalations for ACH and check payments issued on behalf of carriers, including address discrepancies, payment amount issues, and other payment-related concerns.
  • Ensure the team correctly applies the Title Express process and maintains consistent, accurate case tracking using Excel and partner support portals.
  • Manage return check inventory, including reprocessing and remailing checks where applicable.
  • Maintain, track, and add ACH details for lenders who are ACH-interested or enrolled.
  • Reach out to lenders to gather and update contact information, including mailing address, phone number, and ACH details.
  • Review and quality-check escalated cases, stepping in directly on complex or sensitive issues, and hold the team accountable for accuracy, timeliness, and procedure adherence.
  • Oversee team support across email, partner support portals, internal chat, and cross-departmental requests, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, workflows, and resource allocation for the escalations team.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align departmental goals with broader organizational objectives.
  • Track escalation trends and case metrics, coaching the team on opportunities for improvement and communicating findings to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, payment processing, escalations management, or a related field.
  • People-management or team-lead experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with ACH and check payment processes is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and investigative/analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Title Express process.
  • Proficiency in Excel for consistent case tracking, along with experience using partner/vendor support portals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving instincts.
  • Proactive and resourceful in resolving complex payment issues.
  • Comfortable managing a team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day escalations.
  • Adaptable and collaborative across departments.

Pay $64,000 annually
