The Opportunity

We are looking for a hard worker to join our busy Alexandra team as a Three Waters Reticulation Operator, to help deliver the good work we’re known for!

A Three Waters Reticulation Operator operates, maintain and repairs the pipe networks that carry the three waters (drinking water, wastewater and storm water) throughout the Central Otago District Council Region.

Training will be provided and the work includes digging holes, fixing leaks, finding and reading water meters, flushing fire hydrants, repairing sewer pipes, clearing stormwater drains and fixing burst watermains.

This role involves being on-call at times, as part of a rotating roster so living in the CODC area is required along with some flexibility. You will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Full class 1 licence

• Self-motivation coupled with ability to problem solve.

• Strong focus on safety and quality

• Be a strong team player but with the Ability to work alone at times.

• Experience in water, wastewater or plumbing would be an advantage, but not necessary.

PPE provided and all training will be given to the successful candidate.
