Job Title: Test Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, and Playwright Automation. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing, developing, and executing test strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery across web-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Perform comprehensive manual testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure software quality through continuous testing and automation best practices.
- Track, document, and report defects using defect management tools.
Required Skills
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
- Experience testing web-based applications and APIs.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for automation scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Exposure to performance and security testing.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience is an added advantage.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Note: This is an onsite role based in Chennai, requiring presence in the office 5 days a week.
