We are looking for a skilled Test and Validation Engineer with 2–6 years of experience in test validation and hardware testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying hardware performance, ensuring product reliability, and validating systems against defined technical specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with hardware testing methodologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality products.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Validation

  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation procedures based on product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Perform functional, performance, reliability, and regression testing to ensure products meet established quality benchmarks.
  • Validate hardware components, subsystems, and integrated systems under various operating conditions.
  • Identify potential design issues, performance gaps, and product defects during testing and validation activities.
  • Ensure testing procedures comply with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and internal quality guidelines.

Hardware Testing

  • Conduct hands-on testing of hardware components, electronic systems, circuit boards, and other relevant devices.
  • Set up test benches, configure testing equipment, and perform measurements using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • Analyze hardware behavior under different environmental and operational conditions to assess stability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware failures, investigate root causes, and collaborate with design and development teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Support prototype testing, design verification, product qualification, and pre-release validation activities.
  • Document test results, deviations, defects, and observations to support engineering decisions.

Defect Management and Reporting

  • Identify, log, track, and prioritize defects using appropriate issue-tracking systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and work with engineering teams to resolve hardware and system-level issues.
  • Retest fixes and conduct regression testing to confirm that corrective actions have been effective.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, validation summaries, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of test configurations, procedures, results, and equipment usage.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with hardware design, firmware, software, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and product validation meetings.
  • Provide timely feedback on product performance, test coverage, and areas requiring improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, validation methodologies, and quality standards.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Test and Validation methodologies and processes.
  • Practical knowledge of Hardware Testing, including functional verification, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to develop test cases, execute test procedures, analyze results, and prepare technical reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, measurement instruments, and hardware debugging techniques.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with automated testing tools, scripting, or test automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with hardware validation standards, reliability testing, and environmental testing.
  • Knowledge of firmware-hardware integration and system-level testing.
  • Experience with defect-tracking tools and structured quality management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in hardware testing, test validation, or product verification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage testing activities, and deliver accurate results within project timelines.
