About this Terminal Assistant role at Werner Enterprises
Drive terminal operations by efficiently managing company van transportation and executing essential maintenance and facility tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate company van to transport drivers to designated locations (motels, bus stations, truck stops, airports).
- Retrieve supplies for terminal staff.
- Perform janitorial tasks (sweeping, vacuuming, washing, dusting, mopping) in terminal areas (break rooms, offices, showers, guardhouse, bathrooms).
- Collect and dispose of office trash.
- Clean and prepare trucks, removing and storing driver belongings as needed.
- Conduct general facility maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with metro area locations.
- Basic electrical and plumbing repair knowledge.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Preferably, 1-2 years of general maintenance experience.
