  • Support installation of MLI blankets and thermal protection systems on flight hardware.
  • Utilize hand tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols, contamination control requirements, and ESD procedures when applicable.
  • Identify defects, non-conformances, or quality concerns and communicate findings to supervisors and engineering teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing process enhancements.
  • Adhere to all company safety, quality, and production requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, vocational training, or aerospace-related certifications are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, aviation maintenance, aerospace production, composites, textiles, upholstery, or a related hands-on production environment.
  • Aviation maintenance or fabrication backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working from engineering drawings is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with spacecraft, aircraft, composite structures, or aerospace hardware.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with thermal insulation systems or technical sewing applications.
  • Understanding of contamination control practices.
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability.

Technology Stack

  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for precision fabrication and assembly work.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
  • Ability to distinguish small details and inspect precision workmanship.
  • Ability to work around production equipment, tooling, and manufacturing materials.
