Technical Writer - Lead

Job Location : Pune / Noida

5 Days Work From Office


As a Technical Writer at Fiserv, you will translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content that helps clients understand how to install, set up, and use Fiserv’s products and services. You bring excellent writing and verbal communication skills, experience writing business documentation, and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced development environment. In this role, you should be comfortable leading technical writing initiatives, presenting in front of large groups, and supporting the team with administrative tasks and troubleshooting.


What you will do:

  • Create user guides, release notes, quick references, and other assigned content.
  • Analyze and translate technical designs into user-friendly client material.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to obtain an in-depth understanding of products and documentation needs.
  • Use test environments to research Fiserv products and services and obtain screen samples for documentation.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, readability, and consistency across the documentation set through reviews.
  • Estimate, track, and prioritize projects assigned; meet deadlines established by the team.
  • Lead team writing projects and technical writing initiatives.
  • Manage own time and workload and coordinates those of others within a track of work. Demonstrates multi-tasking skills and flexibility to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Make significant decisions without specific guidance; determine how to apply guidelines and procedures. Ex: Whether specific content should be included in a deliverable or whether a deliverable is needed at all. 

What You Will Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Communications, Professional Writing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant technical writing experience.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Style Guide and experience with department writing standards.
  • Experience with Madcap Flare, HTML, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, SnagIT, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience creating technical documentation in SDLC and Agile environments.
  • Proficient in writing content in U.S. English.
  • Experience with AI: use AI to create your documentation and write content that is AI-consumable.

What Would Be Great to Have:

  • Experience writing user interface text and application screen content.
  • Experience leading project teams and content transformation.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry, platforms, banking applications, or online financial solutions.
