Main Objectives

To provide technical expertise and project support for GF piping solutions in Thailand by working closely with the Country Manager, Sales team, channel partner, consultants, EPCs, contractors, owners and end-users. The role is responsible for developing technical solutions, supporting project specifications and tenders through to award, preparing design documentation and material take-offs, and supporting awarded projects in execution until commissioning, driving project opportunities that contribute to business growth and profitability.

Technical Consulting & Specification Development

• Collaborate with owners, end-users, consultants, EPCs and contractors to promote and specify GF piping solutions into project specifications.
• Conduct technical presentations, seminars and product training sessions for customers and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical consultation and recommend suitable piping system solutions for customer applications.
• Support project design reviews and identify opportunities to optimise system performance and lifecycle costs.

Tender & Bid Support

• Work closely with the Sales team to support project bids and tenders.
• Review technical specifications, tender requirements, drawings and project documentation.
• Ensure technical compliance of proposed solutions and alignment with commercial objectives.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, compliance statements and project-related documentation.
• Track submitted tenders and follow up on technical clarifications, tender meetings and status through to award.

Technical Design & Engineering Documentation

• Prepare piping information lists, system layouts, technical drawings and project documentation in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Develop piping general specifications, piping arrangement concepts and piping support standards.
• Utilise AutoCAD and Revit software to develop and maintain project layouts and technical drawings.
• Provide engineering calculations and design support to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.

Cost & Technical Control / Project Execution Support

• Generate Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on project designs and specifications.
• Support project costing and technical evaluations to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Monitor project requirements to ensure adherence to technical, financial, quality and timeline objectives.
• Provide technical support during project execution and resolve engineering-related issues when required.
• Lead or participate in project kick-off meetings and act as the key technical contact for assigned projects from award to commissioning.
• Review customer BOM / material lists for accuracy and engineering soundness, advising on options to reduce errors, costs and excess materials.
• Agree project material delivery schedules with the customer and coordinate supply with order fulfilment, operations and supply chain teams.
• Conduct site visits and inspections; act as gatekeeper for GF quality by checking correct installation methods of contractors and reporting quality issues.
• Provide regular project progress updates and escalate issues and risks to relevant teams.

Business Development & Market Expansion

• Support the expansion of project and fabrication business opportunities in Thailand.
• Identify emerging market trends, customer needs and project opportunities.
• Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to develop new applications and market segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, EPCs, engineering firms and key customers.

Other Duties

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Country Manager or Management Team.

Support cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
