This role is ideal for a hands-on project manager with a strong engineering background and a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional research and development projects within an industrial or engineering environment.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for building and executing project plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring that project deliverables are achieved on time and within scope. You will play a key role in prototype development projects, driving accountability, risk management, and effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead R&D projects from planning through execution and delivery.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource plans.

  • Drive project execution through rigorous follow-up, reporting, tracking tools, and performance monitoring.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and align activities across engineering, product development, operations, and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects remain on track.

  • Facilitate problem-solving activities and support teams in removing project obstacles.

  • Establish and maintain project management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support prototype development projects and coordinate activities related to product realization.

  • Prepare project status updates and communicate progress effectively to management and stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and engineering standards, including chemical safety considerations where relevant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D project management within an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial technology company.

  • Proven experience developing and managing detailed project plans and driving disciplined project follow-up.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes and prototype development projects.

  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., project planning and tracking systems).

  • Familiarity with complex technical environments, including chemical processes or chemical safety considerations, is considered an advantage.

  • Fluent English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while influencing and coordinating teams across multiple functions.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate combines technical understanding with strong project leadership skills. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic R&D environment. You take ownership of project outcomes, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and can drive execution while maintaining a strategic perspective.

You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, building consensus, and ensuring that projects move forward through proactive planning, structured follow-up, and a strong focus on results.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in an engineering-driven organization.

  • Background in prototype development and product development projects.

  • Knowledge of chemical safety requirements and related processes.

  • Experience improving project management practices, reporting, and governance frameworks.
