About this Technical Expert - Cranes role at DEME Group

As a Technical Expert, you will be responsible for providing specialized technical support for our offshore ships, focusing on our fixed cranes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring that all technical systems and equipment are maintained to the highest standard. This role involves creating and preparing work orders, developing maintenance plans, and collaborating with external suppliers and service providers to ensure knowledge exchange and optimal system performance.

our Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert and support for internal stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary point of contact (SPOC).

  • Stay updated on the latest developments and innovations of our cranes.

  • Set up standards for equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational reliability.

  • Ensure all technical work preparations prioritize safety and efficiency.

Your profile

  • A technical Higher Professional Education degree (Ing.) or a technical Master degree (Ir.)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical environment preferably in cranes.

  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented team player with excellent communication abilities.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%).

  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written); additional languages such as German is a big plus.

  • Zwijndrecht(BE) will be your headquarter base
