About this Team Manager - Fostering Team role at Liquid Personnel
Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Fostering Team, based in Gateshead.

As a Team Manager within the Fostering Team, you will provide effective leadership, supervision, and management to a team of social workers and fostering practitioners. You will play a key role in driving high standards of practice, supporting foster carers, and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation and best practice guidance.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Lead, manage, and support a team of social workers and fostering professionals to deliver high-quality services.
- Provide regular supervision, performance management, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Oversee the recruitment, assessment, approval, and ongoing support of foster carers.
- Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, national minimum standards, and Gateshead Council policies and procedures.
- Monitor and review care plans to ensure children and young people achieve positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, foster carers, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Manage team performance, workloads, and resources effectively to meet service demands.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and child-centred decision-making.
- Contribute to service development and implement strategic objectives across the fostering service.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Social Work England registration.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work.
- Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services.
- Previous experience within fostering services.
- Experience of supervising, mentoring, or managing social work staff.
