About the role
We're looking for a Team Lead to oversee our People Associates in Budapest and Timișoara. You'll manage day-to-day HR operations, drive service quality, and help scale our Tier 1 HR function as Wolt expands globally.
What you'll do
Team leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of ~10 People Associates
- Set goals, monitor performance, and run regular evaluations
- Ensure the team follows company policies and procedures
HR service delivery
- Oversee handling of HR inquiries from employees across multiple countries
- Act as the first escalation point for complex issues and ensure timely resolution
Knowledge transfer & launches
- Partner with Tier 2 HR and the business to transition processes into Tier 1
- Own process documentation and knowledge transfer milestones
- Ensure coverage is in place for all country deliverables
Operational excellence
- Improve HR processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Drive adoption of manager and employee self-service tools
- Support Workday onboarding and data accuracy
- Collaborate with Payroll to ensure timely, accurate salary payments
Team development & continuous improvement
- Create development opportunities that grow the team's skills
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements based on team and employee feedback
What we're looking for
- Based in Hungary, able to work from the Budapest office 3+ days/week
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven people management experience with a focus on team development
- Background in employee lifecycle processes and HR service delivery
- Familiarity with HR metrics and ERP systems; Workday experience is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
