Are you an experienced mechanical engineer ready to shape and build a new team?

In this newly created team lead role at the interface between product engineering and factory, you will build and lead a small team of turbocharger engineering support specialists.

Your team will support our Swiss factory and supply chain operations with product-specific expertise and engineering decisions in daily operations. It will also provide technical expertise and engineering key account support for our global manufacturing network, with a primary focus on China.

You will establish this team within the department “Product Development & Care High Speed Turbocharger”. As the team will remain small, you will combine leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational work. You will collaborate closely with supply chain quality and factory teams and strengthen cooperation across organizational boundaries.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a new team of 2–3 engineering support specialists
  • Ensure timely engineering decisions on non-conformance and deviation reports to protect high product quality standards
  • Provide technical key account support and product expertise for global product license holders and manufacturing partners, mainly in Asia
  • Define and manage relevant KPIs with stakeholders from supply chain quality and factory operations
  • Review and improve current global engineering support processes

Your team will be supported by experienced product engineers and quality specialists in neighboring organizations.

Your Background:

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience and at least five years of professional experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain quality
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent practical experience in implementing lean projects is an advantage
  • Fluency in English is required, proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Team player with good communication and change management skills
  • Chinese cultural awareness and language skills would be an additional asset, as you will be working in a German speaking environment with a strong China interface
