Program Summary
The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.

Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.

Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities in TACOM maintenance and sustainment operations. The role conducts inspections, reviews maintenance processes, and ensures compliance with technical standards and contractual requirements. This position plays a key role in verifying that all work meets established quality criteria and that all equipment remains mission capable.

This position is contingent upon award.

Roles and Responsibilities 
•    Perform inspections of maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance with technical manuals, specifications, and PWS requirements
•    Verify that completed work meets established quality standards prior to return to service
•    Review maintenance documentation, work orders, and records for accuracy and completeness
•    Identify deficiencies, discrepancies, and non-conformances and document findings
•    Support corrective action processes by tracking and verifying resolution of identified issues
•    Assist in monitoring adherence to approved procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
•    Maintain quality records, inspection logs, and reports in accordance with contract requirements
•    Support internal audits, government inspections, and readiness evaluations
•    Coordinate with maintenance and supervisory personnel to resolve quality-related issues
•    Assist in implementation of QA/QC procedures and continuous process improvement initiatives
•    Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements

Basic Qualifications 
•    High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred
•    Typically 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, maintenance, or production operations in a DoD, government, or industrial environment
•    Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection processes, and documentation requirements
•    Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, specifications, and work instructions
•    Experience conducting inspections, identifying discrepancies, and documenting findings
•    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
•    Ability to perform work in physically demanding environments
•    Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
•    U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications
•    Previous experience supporting DoD, Army, or TACOM programs
•    Associate degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering Technology, or a related field
•    Certification in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector)
•    Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
•    Experience supporting government inspections, audits, and compliance programs
•    Prior government contracting experience

Additional Information
This position will be performed in office, maintenance facilities, depots, and field environments that require a combination of desk-based project work and hands-on system evaluation. Duties may involve travel between work sites in support of implementation activities. Employees may also be required to work shifts, overtime, or weekend support based on mission needs.

The salary range for this position is $72,300 - $108,400. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.
