Program Summary
The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.
Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.

Job Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting information technology systems, networks, cybersecurity programs, and end-user services that support installation operations and mission requirements. This position ensures the reliability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure by providing technical support, implementing technology solutions, maintaining system compliance, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The IT Specialist works closely with users, leadership, vendors, and technical teams to support day-to-day operations and long-term technology initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities 
•    Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, servers, network equipment, and peripheral devices.
•    Provide technical support to users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, system access, and network connectivity issues.
•    Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with cybersecurity policies and organizational requirements.
•    Monitor and maintain network and system performance to ensure reliability, availability, and security of IT services.
•    Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including system updates, vulnerability remediation, security monitoring, and incident response activities.
•    Manage system backups, software inventories, technology assets, and disaster recovery processes to support continuity of operations.
•    Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration records.
•    Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to support IT projects, system upgrades, and technology modernization efforts.

Basic Qualifications 
•    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Experience supporting computer systems, networks, servers, software applications, and end-user devices in an enterprise environment.
•    Knowledge of system administration, networking, cybersecurity principles, and IT support best practices.
•    Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and account access issues.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and common network technologies.
•    Proficiency with IT service management tools, system monitoring applications, and technical documentation practices.
•    Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, A+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar industry-recognized certifications are preferred.
•    Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
•    U.S. citizenship required

The salary range for this position is $76,900 - $115,400. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.
