About this Tacking - Upholstery role at Bass Pro Shops
POSITION SUMMARY: The Tacker B position includes stretching vinyl over the boat furniture, stapling it to the furniture, steaming wrinkles in the vinyl, and inspecting work when completed. If work does not meet production expectations, they are expected to make the changes needed. Other duties include inspecting the work of previous tackers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsibility for handling vinyl 25%
- Responsibility for ensuring quality of the boat furniture 20%
- Responsibility for meeting production expectations 20%
- Responsibility for inspecting other tackers work 20%
- Responsibility for fixing errors 15%
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Stretch vinyl over furniture
- Use a steamer
- Check other’s work and understand if changes are needed
- Check own work and make changes needed
- Stand for long periods of time
