The biggest transformation in overland logistics today is the shift to electric trucks, creating an exciting period of innovation, rapid change, and new opportunities across the industry.

In this project management role within the Overland Sustainability team, you can look forward to exciting international transition projects, a great working atmosphere and close connections to other entities across the Rhenus Group.

This role is perfect for someone who cares about sustainability and the environment, and also has a love for logistics.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will proactively explore and evaluate innovative transport decarbonization opportunities, leading pilot projects from concept through proof of value.
  • You will translate successful pilots into scalable business solutions, working with stakeholders across Europe to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon transport practices.
  • You will also be tasked to aid in achieving the CO2 budget of the Overland Division, supporting country teams in identifying and prioritizing initiatives that contribute to target achievement.
  • You will be establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and other departments from various countries.
  • Last but not least, you will focus on technological development for long-term strategy and automation for CO2 calculations.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in road freight forwarding operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a relevant role. Exposure to Sales Activity is an asset.
  • Passion for sustainable logistics and innovative mobility concepts, coupled with a willingness to drive environmental progress within the transport sector.
  • Strong ability to inspire stakeholders and effectively communicate the value proposition of electric mobility across different functions and management levels.
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset when working through lengthy implementation cycles and organizational change processes.
  • Excellent proficiency in English mandatory. Spanish skills are an asset. Interest in international teams and different stakeholders from various countries with a willingness to travel.
