Job Summary
Processes job requisitions and provides support for supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
The Supply Chain Services (SCS) group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a “Supply Chain Planning Analyst” position located in Bangalore, India facility.
Enterprise Logistics Solutions (ELS):
The Enterprise Logistics Solutions (ELS) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), Shipping label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services ELS team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions.
This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end Factory Managed Parts order process by analyzing dealer service parts requests, obtaining cost and lead time details from suppliers, and coordinating with Procurement, Product Groups, and Transportation to convert requests into orders. Ensure timely fulfillment through effective collaboration and decision making, while supporting sourcing councils to align part sourcing with regional strategies. This role improves order management efficiency and supports OPACC performance.
What You Will Do:
• Analyze dealer service parts requests across multiple systems and ERP to confirm feasibility, cost, and lead time.
• Coordinate with suppliers for pricing, commercial terms, and availability.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Product Groups, and Transportation to convert requests into confirmed orders.
• Track order progress and work with cross functional teams to resolve delays or gaps.
• Provide accurate quotations and updates to dealers within agreed timelines.
• Support source council activities by evaluating re sourcing options aligned with regional strategies.
• Identify recurring issues and drive corrective actions to improve order cycle time and service fill.
Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/science/engineering or equivalent degree
• Minimum 8-9 years of experience in Supply chain management, Logistics, 3PL, Warehousing, Service parts Logistics.

• Data Preparedness & participation in sourcing council decisions for part sourcing optimization.
• Preferable to have working experience with multiple ERP systems like SAP, Mainframe, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to solve complex problems
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task various responsibilities
• Independently work on issue resolution and enhancements to existing solutions
• Strong customer focus and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams

• Describes the use of bills of materials and other documentation needed to provide supplies.
