Our client is a joint venture dedicated to accelerating Vietnam’s energy transition by investing in an end-to-end electric two-wheeler (E2W) mobility solution. They aim to deliver a seamless consumer experience powered by an integrated digital ecosystem.

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will lead our client's end-to-end supply chain operations in Vietnam, covering:

• Electric two-wheelers
• Batteries
• Battery swap stations
• Spare parts and accessories
• Warehouse and PDI operations
• The role will manage demand and supply planning, procurement coordination, importation, logistics, inventory, warehousing, product allocation, and delivery.

The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with Sales, Finance, Energy Network, After-Sales, dealers, the joint venture partners, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure the right products are available at the right time and location for our client's launch and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

1 - Demand and Supply Planning

• Develop demand and supply plans for vehicles, batteries, swap stations, spare parts, and accessories.
• Consolidate sales forecasts, dealer plans, retail requirements, and network-development plans.
• Translate demand forecasts into procurement, shipment, inventory, and allocation plans.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, stock availability, supply constraints, and inventory exposure.
• Identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks, and recommend mitigation actions.
• Establish appropriate inventory levels, safety stock, and replenishment plans.
• Lead regular demand and supply review meetings with relevant business functions.

2 - Vehicle Supply Chain

• Manage vehicle supply from order planning through importation, customs clearance, warehousing, PDI, allocation, and delivery.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, PDI providers, and transport companies.
• Track vehicles by model, color, VIN, production batch, status, and location.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation and delivery to dealers, retail stores, fleet customers, and pilot programs.
• Resolve shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, transport damage, and documentation issues.

3 - Battery and Swap-Station Supply

• Develop battery requirements based on vehicle sales, vehicle delivery, swap-station loading, PDI, and operational-buffer needs.
• Maintain accurate Battery records by serial number, status, condition, and location.
• Coordinate Battery allocation across vehicles, swap stations, warehouses, retail stores, and service locations.
• Establish proper procedures for Battery storage, charging, movement, quarantine, return, and disposal.
• Manage the shipment, storage, allocation, and delivery of swap stations and related equipment.
• Align swap-station supply with site readiness, installation schedules, dealer plans, and network rollout.
• Ensure Battery and swap-station operations meet our client's safety, insurance, and compliance requirements.

4 - Warehouse and PDI Management

• Manage our client's warehouse operations directly or through an appointed logistics partner.
• Ensure adequate warehouse capacity and suitable storage conditions for vehicles, batteries, swap stations, and spare parts.
• Establish warehouse procedures for receiving, inspection, storage, picking, dispatch, returns, and stocktaking.
• Coordinate vehicle PDI and ensure sufficient vehicles and batteries are ready for delivery.
• Maintain controls for saleable, damaged, returned, quarantined, and obsolete inventory.
• Monitor warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, storage capacity, damage rates, and vendor service levels.

5 - Inventory and Working-Capital Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses, dealers, retail stores, service points, and other approved locations.
• Balance product availability with working-capital and cash-flow requirements.
• Monitor inventory coverage, ageing, slow-moving stock, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
• Lead regular stock counts and investigate any inventory discrepancies.
• Work with Finance on inventory valuation, reconciliation, accruals, and audit requirements.
• Recommend actions to redistribute, return, consume, or dispose of excess and obsolete stock.

6 - Logistics and Importation

• Manage international and domestic transportation for vehicles, batteries, swap stations, spare parts, and accessories.
• Coordinate import and customs documentation with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Monitor shipping schedules and provide early warnings of delays or documentation gaps.
• Support compliance with Vietnamese customs, import, tax, insurance, and product requirements.
• Monitor freight, customs, storage, and landed costs against budget.
• Manage cargo shortages, transport damage, and insurance claims where required.

7 - Spare-Parts Supply

• Work with the After-Sales Manager to develop spare-parts demand and stocking plans.
• Ensure critical spare parts, service tools, and workshop equipment are available before vehicle launch.
• Coordinate spare-parts procurement, importation, storage, allocation, and replenishment.
• Support spare-parts distribution to dealers, retail stores, and authorized service workshops.
• Monitor spare-parts availability, fill rate, back orders, ageing, and obsolete inventory.
• Support warranty campaigns, recalls, and urgent field-service requirements.

8 - Vendor and Process Management

• Manage suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouse providers, and transportation companies.
• Establish clear service levels, KPIs, responsibilities, and escalation processes for each vendor.
• Monitor vendor performance in relation to cost, quality, compliance, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain supply chain SOPs, controls, approval processes, and reporting tools.
• Work with the Systems Manager to support the implementation of ERP, warehouse, inventory, and planning systems.
• Ensure accurate and timely supply chain data and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 to 10 years of relevant supply chain experience.
• At least three years of experience in a supply chain management or leadership role.
• Strong experience in demand and supply planning, logistics, importation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Experience managing logistics providers, warehouses, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using ERP, inventory, warehouse, or supply-planning systems.
• Strong English and Vietnamese communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and cross-functional environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in automotive, electric vehicles, motorcycles, mobility, batteries, energy infrastructure, or consumer durables.
• Experience managing serialized or high-value assets.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion Battery transportation, storage, and handling.
• Experience supporting a dealer, retail, distributor, or after-sales network.
• Experience establishing supply chain operations for a new business or product launch.
