Summary

Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services. Qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness. Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur. Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met. Evaluates suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will help support existing products by reducing scrap and increase product quality on the production floor. There are always interesting and challenging opportunities in production that require us to work together as a team and leverage each other’s experience.

 

Role and Responsibility -

1.worked in SQE function with hands on experience of handling part development at supplier end independently, through knowledge of QMS process of supplier selection, qualification.

2. Hands experience of DMF, PFMES, Control plan, PPA process , review them for the part and process for parts we develop at supplier.

3. Take lead in coordination with Internal team, Engineering, Sourcing , Manufacturing, product quality and supplier (Supplier Functions, Manufacturing, Quality, etc)

4. Conducts supplier audits, identify the gaps, drive actions at supplier end, report the progress.

5. Plan and work the supplier defect reduction programs.

6. Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test for raw materials,

7. Ensures activities and items are following both company quality assurance standards and

   applicable government regulations

8. Performs analysis and identifies trends on supplier quality performance based on incoming inspection, support and help suppliers to solve quality issues to eliminate potential risks.

9. Support and collaborate with global team for audits and quality issues.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 5 years of related mechanical or electrical experience
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a
• variety of factors.  Exercises independent judgment and discretion in solving complex business

• Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Productive communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO13485 and internal auditor is preferred.
• Good written and oral English proficiency
• Familiar with GD&T knowledge.
• Familiar with quality tools: like 8D, MSA, PFMEA, 5Why, SPC, etc,
• Well knowledgeable on measurement tools, like calipers, micrometers, CMM, 2.5D project  
• Travel is required.
