Job Description:

Do you enjoy turning complex supplier challenges into executable plans and measurable business results? Delta Faucet Company is seeking a Supplier Development Project Manager to lead cross-functional supplier initiatives that improve quality, delivery, cost, capability, and supply continuity. This role manages supplier onboarding, capability building, continuous improvement, sourcing transitions, and supplier exits across Delta’s global supply base. The position works closely with Global Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Operations, Planning, Finance, and suppliers to ensure initiatives are executed effectively and deliver sustainable results.

Purpose:

The Supplier Development Project Manager leads the structured execution of supplier-development initiatives from approved business case through production readiness, stabilization, and project closure.

The role translates sourcing strategies and supplier needs into integrated action plans with clear milestones, owners, risks, and performance measures. This position builds supplier capability, resolves performance gaps, strengthens supply-chain resilience, and establishes repeatable methods that improve how Delta develops and manages suppliers.

Responsibilities:

· Lead supplier onboarding, capability-building, resourcing, localization, continuous-improvement, and exit projects from planning through implementation and stabilization.

· Develop and manage cross-functional project plans defining scope, milestones, resources, risks, decisions, action owners, and escalation requirements.

· Coordinate supplier readiness activities, including capability assessments, design reviews, tooling, capacity validation, first articles, PPAP, production ramp-up, and transition to ongoing supplier management.

· Partner with Supplier Quality, Engineering, Operations, and commodity teams to assess supplier manufacturing, technical, quality, capacity, and management-system capabilities.

· Build and execute gap-closure plans that address supplier capability, quality, delivery, cost, service, lead time, and launch-readiness requirements.

· Lead supplier performance-improvement projects using data analysis, root-cause problem solving, corrective-action planning, and continuous-improvement methods.

· Establish measurable project and supplier-performance targets, monitor progress, and verify that improvements are effective and sustained.

· Identify and mitigate supplier risks related to capacity, geographic concentration, business continuity, financial condition, cybersecurity, compliance, logistics, and critical sub-tier operations.

· Develop contingency and recovery plans that improve supply continuity, global sourcing optionality, and responsiveness to changing business conditions.

· Facilitate cross-functional and supplier meetings, drive timely decisions, and escalate barriers that threaten business objectives or project timing.

· Maintain accurate project information and provide clear reporting through SAP, Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other approved systems.

· Strengthen Delta’s Supplier Development capability by standardizing tools, incorporating lessons learned, sharing best practices, and improving internal and supplier processes.

· Ensure adherence to Delta policies, supplier requirements, compliance expectations, and departmental standard work.

· Support special projects and other strategic sourcing and supply-chain initiatives as assigned.

Education and Experience/Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, business, or a related field.

· Five or more years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, operations, or supply-chain project management.

· Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional projects involving direct-material suppliers.

· Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier quality systems, capacity planning, product and process validation, and production readiness.

· Strong project leadership, analytical, problem-solving, risk-management, and organizational skills.

· Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, first-article qualification, process capability, control plans, FMEA, supplier audits, and corrective-action systems preferred.

· Proven ability to influence across functions, regions, and supplier organizations without direct authority.

· Ability to communicate complex issues, risks, decisions, and recommendations clearly to suppliers, project teams, and leadership.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency, discipline, and accountability in a global business environment.

· Experience with supplier onboarding, capability development, sourcing transitions, product launches, or supplier performance improvement strongly preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI and Teams; experience with SAP, Smartsheet, and CoPilot (CoWork) preferred.

· Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, CAPM, or related certification is beneficial.

· Approximately 10% to 15% domestic and international travel may be required.
