The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. 

• Other Meets education requirements for CLS license.
• 6 Years recent experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in a clinical laboratory.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist license - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED

• 2 Years experience in a leadership position is preferred.

  Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  Supervises the laboratory staff on the assigned shift.
  Coordinates staff and resources to meet lab turn around time and other performance goals.
  Ensures organized shift transition.
  Helps to identify barriers to the achievement of service goals.
  Identifies issues and recurrent problems that lead to the staff’s inability to effectively improve clinical outcomes or work efficiently.  Collaborates with the laboratory management to provide solutions and resources for resolution.
  Assists lab management to ensure high level of professional practice and maintains lab services according to policies, procedures and standards.
  Assists lab management in quality and safety requirements and initiatives of the clinical laboratory.
  Performs additional duties as may be assigned by the Operations Manager.
