About this Strategic Logistics Manager Brasil role at Unilever

Unilever · Onsite · São Paulo, Brazil

Earlier this year, Unilever announced an agreement to combine its Foods business with McCormick & Company, creating a scaled global flavour powerhouse. The proposed combination would bring together iconic Foods brands, including Hellmann’s and Knorr, with McCormick’s portfolio to create a global leader across spices, seasonings, condiments and complementary food categories, supported by strong retail and foodservice platforms. McCormick brings more than 135 years of heritage, a presence in 150+ countries and territories, and a portfolio of trusted brands. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, with completion estimated for mid-2027.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Strategic Logistics Manager LATAM is responsible for defining and driving the logistics strategy and transformation roadmap across Latin America, building a more efficient, agile and future-ready logistics network.

The role connects markets and regional stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimize cost and service, strengthen logistics capabilities and accelerate digitalization, automation and sustainability across warehousing, transportation and distribution.

You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Brazil network review in the context of the Tax Reform, assessing implications for the current distribution footprint and translating them into strategic network and logistics decisions.
  •  Support the McCormick integration, ensuring the future logistics network is designed to capture synergies while protecting business continuity and customer service.
  • Develop and lead strategic logistics projects and business cases, translating operational opportunities into clear financial value and investment requirements.
  • Define and drive the LATAM Logistics Strategy, setting the regional roadmap and leading network optimization initiatives to improve cost, service, resilience and long-term capacity.
  • Lead the regional logistics transformation agenda, accelerating digitalization, automation and technology adoption across transportation and warehousing to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Drive logistics productivity, performance and standardization across LATAM, identifying structural savings opportunities, tracking key KPIs and scaling best practices across markets.
  • Develop future-ready logistics capabilities and partner strategies, including 3PL management, e-commerce, last mile, Route to Market and new distribution solutions that enable growth.
  • Partner cross-functionally and influence strategic decisions across the region, connecting logistics priorities with business objectives while leveraging external trends, benchmarks and emerging capabilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience in Supply Chain and Logistics, ideally within FMCG, retail, 3PL or another complex, high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, distribution and logistics operating models.
  • Experience leading logistics strategy, transformation or network optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations and actions.
  • Experience with digitalization, automation and technology-enabled logistics solutions.
  • Strong P&L and financial acumen, with the ability to understand the financial drivers of the business, build robust business cases and clearly articulate value, risks and trade-offs.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a regional and matrix environment, influencing multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with strong execution discipline, translating long-term ambition into tangible initiatives and results.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and constant change, challenging existing ways of working and building new capabilities.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
  • Ability to travel as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing logistics across multiple Latin American markets.
  • Experience in e-commerce, last mile and alternative Route to Market models.
  • Experience working with 3PLs and strategic logistics partners.
  • Experience in logistics sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.
  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field.
