About this Store Development Project Manager role at Suitsupply

Suitsupply · Onsite · Amsterdam, North Holland, The Netherlands
As the Store Development Project Manager, you will own the existing store portfolio, mapping every store’s layout, fixtures, condition, and lifecycle stage to build a single source of truth for the business. You will use this data to identify where refits, upgrades, or repairs are needed, and manage these projects end-to-end — from scoping and budgeting through contractor coordination and delivery — covering lighter-touch works as well as select larger capital projects. Partnering closely with Store Operations, Store Management, and Facilities, you will align every intervention with trading calendars and day-to-day operations to keep disruption to a minimum, while also supporting select new development projects alongside the Expansion Store Development Director. Your work will directly shape how the existing store network performs, keeping the portfolio safe, on-brand, and commercially strong. This role offers real ownership and strategic impact, with the opportunity to build lasting cross-functional relationships across Retail, Operations, and Facilities.
What You Will Do
  • Map and maintain a structured, up-to-date record of existing store data — layout, fixtures, condition, and lifecycle stage — to give the business a single source of truth on the store portfolio.
  • Build and prioritize a pipeline of refit, upgrade, and repair interventions in partnership with the Head of Retail and Head of Operations.
  • Manage refit and upgrade projects end-to-end, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor and vendor coordination, some of which may require building permits.
  • Partner with Store Operations and Facilities to align project scope and timing with trading calendars, store hours, and operational constraints, minimizing disruption to trading.
  • Track budgets, timelines, and status across all active interventions, and report progress to the Store Development Lead.
  • Ensure all refit and upgrade work meets brand, visual merchandising, and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers, sequencing their work efficiently across the portfolio.
  • Support select new store development projects alongside the Expansion Store Development Director.
Who You Are
  • Experience in retail store development, facilities management, construction project management, or a similar multi-site environment.
  • Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor or contractor management for small-to-mid scale refit or fit-out projects.
  • A structured, data-first approach, comfortable building and maintaining detailed records across a large store portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of which interventions require a full building permit versus lighter-touch works, and how to plan around that distinction.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management, able to work fluently with Retail, Store Operations, and Facilities and represent their needs in project decisions.
  • Practical understanding of store operations and how construction or refit work affects trading.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to stores across the network.
What You Will Get
  • Autonomy: We empower you to take ownership, make meaningful decisions, and drive impact without layers of sign-off.
  • Growth: We see your potential as a key asset. At Suitsupply, you’ll have abundant opportunities to learn, grow, and excel in a supportive environment that encourages development at every step.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: Our commitment to sustainability and ethical business is unwavering. We work exclusively with suppliers who uphold the highest standards, in alignment with the International Labour Organization.
  • Style: Immerse yourself in a world of beautifully crafted, high-quality products, and enjoy a 40% discount on Suitsupply products
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary of €55,000-€71,000 annually, based on relevant skills and experience.
