The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $102,750 - $150,700 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Travel: Approximately 25%
• Lead and coordinate Dematic North America’s racking and structural engineering initiatives
• Support all phases of projects including concept development, structural design, engineering, installation, and commissioning
• Develop and review structural designs at both system and component levels, ensuring safe operation, code compliance, and sustainability
• Perform and oversee structural analysis, steel design, and connection design
• Create and review 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation
• Manage structural engineering budgets and design schedules for assigned projects; communicate status to project teams and management
• Support internal product development, including design validation and testing
• Partner with the Sales team to develop and review racking and structural design concepts
• Liaise closely with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, safety, site managers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project execution
• Support technical and concept reviews and ensure adherence to Dematic’s engineering processes and standards
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to other engineers
• Industrial steel storage racks and ASRS structures

• Connections and rolled cold‑formed sections
• AISC LRFD Specification for Structural Steel Buildings

What We Are Looking For:

• B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred); advanced degree a plus
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, preferably within the material handling or industrial steel structures industry
• Demonstrated ability to solve high-impact, complex, and cross-functional engineering problems
• Strong analytical skills with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to engage at all organizational levels
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring and supporting professional staff
