This position serves as a Senior Staff Data Fabric Architect supporting the Customer Subdomain within CSCX Data Fabric, providing dedicated technical leadership to a the CSCX team. As a senior technical leader for the Customer Subdomain, this role is accountable for making sound architectural decisions in parallel with development work, ensuring designs are properly vetted before implementation to reduce downstream rework. The architect will partner closely with existing team architects to relieve capacity constraints, accelerate delivery timelines, and strengthen technical decision-making and solution governance across current and upcoming initiatives.

Job Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Sr Staff Data Fabric Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge data fabric solutions focused on enhancing customer experiences. This role involves shaping the future of our data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance for critical customer-facing applications and analytics.

Job Responsibilities

* Define, design, and evangelize the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data initiatives across CSCX.
* Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust and scalable data fabric solutions.
* Develop and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across customer data assets.
* Drive the integration of diverse data sources (on-premise, cloud, third-party) into a unified data fabric, enabling seamless data access and consumption for various applications and users.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams on data fabric principles, design patterns, and implementation strategies.
* Identify and mitigate data-related risks, including security, privacy, and compliance challenges, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
* Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data fabric, data management, and customer experience domains.
* Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes comprehensively for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Minimum Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience

* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Architecture

* Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

 * Proven expertise in designing and implementing data fabric solutions using technologies such as data virtualization (e.g., Denodo, Tibco Data Virtualization), data cataloging (e.g., Collibra, Alation), and metadata management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related technical role, with at least 5 years focused on large-scale data fabric or distributed data systems.
* Proven expertise in designing and implementing data fabric solutions using technologies such as data virtualization (e.g., Denodo, Tibco Data Virtualization), data cataloging (e.g., Collibra, Alation), and metadata management tools.
* Strong understanding of various data storage technologies (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, data warehouses) and their application in a data fabric context.
* Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services (e.g., S3, ADLS, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and integration.
* Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy principles and best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects, influence cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry, particularly with customer-facing applications and data, is a strong plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions.


Additional Information:


The base pay range for this position is $131,000- $174,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 13th, 2026.​
