About the Job

The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides dedicated AR support to the Benelux Finance organization, with an initial focus on improving AR data quality, enabling further automation in Microsoft Dynamics 365, resolving historic cash-allocation issues, and supporting bank reconciliation activities.

Once these improvement projects have been completed and the AR ledgers have been cleaned, the role will increasingly support ongoing collection activities and customer follow-up.

This reflects your stated intention that the FTE should not simply perform standard collections from day one, but first address several more complex AR improvement and cleanup projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and complete AR/customer master information required in Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring accounts are sufficiently clean and complete to support automated AR processes.
• Set up and maintain automated Statements of Account (SOA) and reminders, with particular focus on efficiently covering smaller outstanding balances.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and investigate differences/open items.
• Support cash allocation and clearing of customer accounts, working closely with the GBS bank reconciliation/cash allocation team. You specifically identified co-location with this team as an advantage.
• Perform standard collection activities, including customer emails and calls, and follow up outstanding invoices according to agreed processes.
• Support monitoring and maintenance of credit limits/payment terms (CLPT), including signalling upcoming expirations and supporting renewal requests.
• Escalate material collection issues, disputes or customer/account setup problems to the local Benelux AR/Finance team.
• Support further standardisation and automation of the AR process as activities transition into GBS.

Profile

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, collections or finance operations.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile customer accounts.
• Confident communicating with customers in English, including by email and telephone.
• Able to work independently while maintaining close communication with the Benelux Finance team.
