About this Sr. Software Engineer II- Mobile (Remote Eligible in Bulgaria) role at Smartsheet

We're looking for a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer II to join our Mobile engineering team. You are passionate about continuous learning and eager to grow along with us in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
You will work remotely from Bulgaria and will be reporting to an engineering leader based in Bulgaria.
You Will:
- Design and develop mobile frameworks and features for Smartsheet's native applications on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Guide and mentor team members regarding architecture and best practices for mobile development.
- Provide technical expertise, solving complex problems and offering thoughtful feedback on peer design and code reviews.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)—defining, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying new features.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify solutions and next steps for production issues.
- Work autonomously, overseeing essential features and collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, UI designers, senior developers, and testers.
- Recognize and take ownership of complex technical cross-team issues, driving them to resolution.
- Support development across multiple platforms (Android, iOS, Native NDK, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Have:
- 7+ years of mobile engineering experience, specializing in native mobile development.
- Experience in developing consumer mobile applications, with a strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem and a customer-focused attitude.
- Expertise in Kotlin, Swift, Java, RxJava, JUnit, Objective-C.
- Experience developing clean architecture and integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
- Ability to shift between low-level algorithms and high-level strategies.
- Experience working in agile environments with frequent production releases.
- Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis.
- Fluency in English is required
