About this Sr. Plumbing Engineer role at KBR
Title:
Sr. Plumbing EngineerKBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Completions Database Specialist to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year.
The Senior HVAC & Plumbing Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, review, and execution support of HVAC, Plumbing, Utility, and Building Services systems for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, and Industrial projects. The role includes Conceptual Studies, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement Support, Construction Support, and Commissioning assistance while ensuring compliance with international codes, client specifications, and project requirements. The engineer shall coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop HVAC and Plumbing design philosophies, Basis of Design (BOD), Design Criteria, and Scope of Work documents.
- Perform HVAC load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Design ventilation systems for:
- Control Rooms
- Substations
- Telecom Buildings
- Electrical Buildings
- Laboratory Facilities
- Battery Rooms
- Hazardous Material Storage Areas
- Blast Resistant Buildings
- Design plumbing systems including:
- Domestic Water
- Sanitary Drainage
- Oily Water Drainage
- Chemical Waste Drainage
- Storm Water Systems
- Eyewash and Safety Shower Systems.
- Prepare HVAC and Plumbing specifications, datasheets, equipment schedules, and material requisitions.
- Develop HVAC airflow diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, D&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Perform duct sizing, pressure drop calculations, ventilation studies, and utility calculations.
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 20+ years of plumbing engineer experience Plumbing design philosophies, Basis of Design (BOD), Design Criteria.
- Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SP3D / SmartPlant 3D, Aircal C++
- HVAC Design & Load Calculation Software
- Microsoft Office Suite
