Job Description:

MPS is seeking a highly self-motivated Sr. Mechanical Engineer with good knowledge in the area of mechanical design.  This person will develop mechanical system, enclosure, and components for high-voltage (<900V) applications (Inverter, DC-DC Converter, Resonant converter).

Essential Functions:

• Design new mechanical parts, assemblies, and installations for the high-voltage products.

• Thermal and mechanical design of server liquid-cooling modules.

• Produce engineering drawings, reports, material lists and work instructions.

• Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation of mechanical parts for high-voltage products.

• Interface with customers and suppliers to understand system requirement and produce solutions accordingly.

• Provide statements of work, cost estimates, completion schedules and other project administrative inputs.

• Collaborating with multi-region peers including mechanical, application, and product engineering teams for coordination of design specification and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• M.S. or PH.D in mechanical engineering.

• 6 years overall work experience in the roles of mechanical engineer.

• Knowledge of application systems, such as server, datacenter, testing equipment, and automobile. Experience with mechanical design in products applied into the above application systems.

• Project management experience with cross-function team cooperation.

• Knowledge and experience with back-end manufacturing, such as product assembly, QA procedures, ISO regulations, safety certifications.

• Strong analysis skills and demonstrate proficiency with 2D/3D CAD systems and simulation software.

• Proficiency with sheet metal design for power electronics devices.

• Familiar with SolidWorks.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical/structural design processes, materials, and fabrication methods.
