We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards.  Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day.  We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

This function serves as the universal front door for purchasing at PayPal, spanning intake, customer service, supplier onboarding, and execution support across the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle. The Senior Manager will build and lead a team of people managers, each responsible for a distinct pillar of the P2P Operations function (e.g., procurement ops, intake & triage, customer service, supplier onboarding & contract compliance), and will set the strategic direction, operating model, and performance standards for the function as a whole.

The Senior Manager will partner closely with GSP leadership, Business Units (BUs), and cross-functional stakeholders — including Legal, FP&A, IT, and M&A — to deliver efficient, compliant, and customer-centric procurement experiences at scale, while ensuring PayPal teams can effectively navigate buying tools, processes, and policies.

The Senior Manager will also drive the adoption of AI and automation across the P2P Operations & Enablement function, modernizing intake, triage, and customer service to reduce manual effort and improve the end-user buying experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and scale the Procurement Operations function, managing a team of direct-reports overseeing distinct workstreams including contract compliance, intake and triage, customer service, supplier onboarding, and procurement support.
  • Own the strategic vision and operating model for the “universal front door” to buying at PayPal, ensuring consistent, high-quality guidance across all intake channels regardless of which sub-team fields the request.
  • Set team-wide goals, performance standards, and KPIs across all P2P Operations & Enablment pillars, and hold direct-report managers accountable for their team’s execution and customer experience outcomes.
  • Identify and lead the adoption of AI and automation opportunities across contract compliance, intake, triage, customer service, and supplier onboarding to reduce cycle time and manual handling.
  • Partner with Global Sourcing & key stakeholders to align procurement operations with sourcing, contracting, supplier management, purchasing, and payment strategy.
  • Serve as a senior, trusted advisor to Business Unit leaders and cross-functional partners, representing P2P Operations in leadership forums and escalation paths.
  • Lead procurement due diligence, supplier transition, and integration support for M&A activity, coordinating across the managers responsible for onboarding and intake to ensure smooth absorption of new entities.
  • Champion operational excellence across the function: policy and controls adherence, quality review, workload/capacity planning across teams, and continuous process improvement.

•      Build a high‑performing team with strong controls mindset; provide coaching, succession planning, and development opportunities focused P2P, controls, and systems proficiency.

  • Foster a culture of customer support, accountability, and continuous improvement across all P2P Operations teams.
  • Report on function-wide performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to GSP and CAO leadership.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing operations, P2P operations, customer support, or related functions.
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including leading multi-team functions.
  • Deep understanding of the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, contract compliance, intake processes, customer service operations, supplier onboarding, and purchasing tools/systems.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling an operations function, including designing team structure, workflows, and performance frameworks.
  • Experience partnering with senior cross-functional and business unit stakeholders as a strategic, customer-facing leader.
  • Strong track record supporting M&A activities, integrations, or transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex procurement processes into clear guidance and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to balance operational execution, people leadership, and strategic process improvement simultaneously.

•      Hands‑on experience with major ERP platforms Ariba & (SAP ECC / S/4HANA)
