The Opportunity

BetMGM is seeking a Sportsbook Performance Senior Manager to lead the commercial performance strategy of our sportsbook business. This role is responsible for driving profitability, customer value, and customer investment strategy through performance management, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership.
Working closely with Trading, CRM, VIP, Product, Finance, and Analytics teams, the Sportsbook Performance Senior Manager will serve as a key commercial leader responsible for defining strategic priorities, directing customer investment initiatives, and driving business performance. The role will leverage insights and reporting from Analytics and Finance partners to guide decision-making, optimize commercial outcomes, and shape the long-term strategy of the sportsbook business.

 

• Own sportsbook customer investment strategy, ensuring bonus spend aligns with commercial objectives, customer growth priorities, and profitability targets.
• Lead the development and execution of strategies designed to improve sportsbook profitability, customer value, and sustainable revenue growth.
• Own sportsbook performance management, establishing priorities and driving initiatives that improve commercial outcomes across customer segments, promotions, and product offerings.
• Partner with CRM, VIP, Trading, and Product leaders to define and execute strategies that improve customer engagement, retention, and profitability.
• Serve as the key commercial stakeholder for evaluating, prioritizing, and advancing high-impact business opportunities for bonus and commercial investment.
• Serve as the primary business stakeholder for performance measurement, partnering with Analytics teams to ensure reporting supports commercial decision-making.
• Lead the development of business cases and strategic recommendations related to major investments, growth initiatives, and commercial opportunities.
• Deliver executive-level recommendations on business performance, emerging opportunities, strategic risks, and investment priorities.
• Partner with Finance and Analytics leadership to monitor business performance and evaluate commercial investment opportunities.
• Assess competitor activity, industry trends, and market developments to inform strategic planning and commercial priorities.
• Support annual planning, target setting, and performance management processes for the sportsbook business.
• Influence senior stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and execution against key commercial objectives.

Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial strategy, business performance, consulting, finance, analytics, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience within sportsbook, gaming, online betting, or another highly competitive consumer-facing industry preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of driving business performance and influencing strategic decision-making.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Analytics, Finance, Product, Marketing, and operational teams.
• Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable commercial strategies.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering measurable business results.
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.
• Experience developing business cases, investment strategies, and long-term business plans.
• Advanced Excel proficiency required; familiarity with BI and analytical tools preferred.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Passion for sports and a strong understanding of the sports betting landscape.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is as follows:

131,100.00--174,800.00

 

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

  

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements 

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.  Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.  Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.  Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support BetMGM's responsible gambling policies, procedures, and initiatives.
