We are seeking a Senior Buyer responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of direct materials to support manufacturing operations. This role manages supplier relationships, monitors inventory levels, drives procurement processes, and executes sourcing strategies to meet operational and business objectives. The Senior Buyer plays a critical role in supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, cost management, and procurement performance while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and global suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous supply of direct materials to support manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material coverage to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
  • Follow up on procurement and supply chain processes, including SOTD, ECN, ETO, E&O, GRNI, and virtual inventory activities.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Negotiate delivery schedules and supply commitments with suppliers to meet production demand.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations, including direct interaction with international suppliers.
  • Monitor and report procurement KPIs related to supplier performance, delivery, cost, and inventory.
  • Execute procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and operational plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Prepare, review, and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and supplier bid packages.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations, pricing proposals, and financial data to support sourcing decisions.
  • Approve and qualify suppliers to ensure compliance with business and operational requirements.
  • Authorize purchase orders and approve payments to support efficient procurement operations.
  • Monitor supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Support issue resolution with suppliers and internal customers to maintain supply chain continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing.
  • Experience managing direct material suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and material supply processes.
  • Experience with RFPs, supplier selection, and vendor qualification processes.
  • Ability to analyze pricing proposals, contracts, and financial information.
  • Experience monitoring procurement KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms.
  • Advanced English proficiency is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
