Ozarks First in Springfield, MO, is looking for a television and streaming Sports Reporter to join our team. We are focused on delivering compelling sports coverage and storytelling to our viewers on broadcast, web, streaming, and social media.

We do sports differently. We are not looking for candidates to deliver scores and highlights in the last segment of the newscast. We want a storyteller. You must develop sources and develop a pipeline of compelling storylines and information. A strong candidate should have a memorable, energetic, and creative delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience shooting, writing, and editing sports content; producing digital elements; producing feature packages; and streaming shows.

Responsibilities:

• Shoot, write, and edit sports stories
• Anchor and produce sports streaming programming
• Create content for our website and social media platforms
• Deliver sports stories in a clear and concise manner
• Work with news to develop comprehensive coverage of major sporting events
• Familiar with Missouri sports teams, players, and storylines
• Respond to breaking sports news with urgency and clear communication
• Participate in promotional activities, including public appearances

Requirements:

• Knowledge of editing – Adobe Premiere
• Producing knowledge and experience
• College degree
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Open to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of ENG cameras
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
