THE JOB:

Mandalay Bay’s Convention and Banquets team delivers exceptional dining experiences across more than 2 million square feet of meeting and event space, catering everything from executive dinners to large-scale galas serving thousands of guests. As an Sous Chef, you will oversee daily banquet kitchen operations, mentor culinary staff, and ensure every plate meets our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain quality and proper presentation of food Drive the customer relation management system by ensuring that all such orders are handled correctly
• Communicate with chefs, management, employees and guest efficiently with proper reporting, and meetings
• Schedule and maintain the budgeted labor costs as well as potential food cost
• Understand and utilize Stratton Warren system properly for purchasing, release orders and cost transfers
  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 21+ years of age or older
• 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in a high-volume setting
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a culinary positon
