Silgan Containers is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our Business Technology team in our Brookfield Center office. In this role, you will design and implement IT architecture solutions that align technology with business objectives. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to evaluate existing systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver scalable, secure, and effective technology solutions.

As a Solutions Architect, you will support enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure architecture, software solutions, network architecture, and cybersecurity initiatives while managing technology projects from initial requirements through implementation and transition to operations.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement IT solutions across software architecture, network infrastructure, enterprise applications, and security architecture.
• Evaluate existing IT systems and infrastructure to ensure alignment with business requirements, operational needs, and technology strategy.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to identify technology challenges and recommend effective solutions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and IT architecture best practices to support technology decisions.
• Develop technology strategies, architectural recommendations, and technical forecasts that support business objectives.
• Manage IT projects from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, integration, and transition to operations.
• Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and outsourced resources to support successful project delivery.
• Assess technology integration requirements, architectural risks, and business priorities when recommending solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise on enterprise architecture, IT infrastructure, and technology best practices.
• Communicate technical recommendations, project updates, and strategic initiatives to business management and executive stakeholders.
• Support complex technology initiatives involving evolving requirements, emerging technologies, and multiple integrated systems.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of experience in information technology, network administration, IT solutions, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience with IT infrastructure, network administration, technology solutions management, database management, or business intelligence tools.
• Broad understanding of enterprise IT architecture, software systems, network infrastructure, and security architecture.
• Experience managing technology projects, coordinating resources, and implementing IT solutions.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and develop practical solutions aligned with business needs.
• Knowledge of technology trends, IT architecture standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Communication and presentation skills to explain technical concepts and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with business management, internal and external customers, production employees, and IT colleagues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
