The Solution Architect – Cross Line of Business designs end-to-end technology solutions that span multiple RSM business lines and platforms. This role combines expertise in application, microservice, API, integration, and process orchestration architectures to enable seamless business processes and data exchanges across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate cross-line-of-business business requirements into end-to-end solution designs spanning multiple enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and custom-built solutions.

• Design microservice and API architecture for custom-built solutions; define service boundaries using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.

• Define and implement integration patterns using REST APIs, messaging, Azure Service Bus, and event-driven architecture principles.

• Support the architecture and delivery of cloud-native solutions, leveraging React-based frontends, .NET and Python backend services, SQL / NoSQL datastores, Azure services, containerized workloads, APIs, and messaging technologies.

• Design business process orchestration and workflow solutions that automate and streamline processes across multiple business lines.

• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Develop solution architecture artifacts including architecture diagrams, integration specifications, API contracts, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and ensure designs remain current as solutions evolve.

• Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and best practices.

• Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams during design, development, testing, and implementation phases.

• Ensure non-functional requirements including security, scalability, availability, performance, and maintainability are considered in solution designs.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering, application design, or solution architecture experience, including experience contributing to solution architecture and technical design activities.

• Experience designing and developing enterprise applications using React, .NET, Python, or similar modern technology platforms.

• Knowledge of solution architecture principles, including application architecture, integration architecture, microservices, and API-based design.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Microsoft Azure services, including application hosting, messaging, data, and container platforms.

• Experience designing or implementing system integrations using REST APIs, messaging technologies, and event-driven architecture patterns.

• Understanding of software quality attributes, including security, scalability, resiliency, performance, maintainability, and observability.

• Experience creating and maintaining architecture artifacts, including solution diagrams, integration specifications, architecture decision records (ADRs), and technical documentation.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical options and make architecture recommendations that balance business and technology objectives.

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms such as Camunda or similar technologies is preferred.
