About this Solution Engineer role at Diligent Corporation

Do you enjoy combining technology, business strategy, and customer engagement to solve complex challenges? As a Solution Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in helping organizations understand how modern Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) solutions can transform the way they operate. You'll partner with sales teams, engage directly with senior stakeholders, deliver impactful software demonstrations, and become a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey. This is an opportunity to develop deep product expertise, influence strategic purchasing decisions, and accelerate your career in a high-growth SaaS environment.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Deliver engaging, consultative product demonstrations that address customer business challenges and goals
- Partner closely with Account Executives to drive the technical strategy behind new opportunities and support successful deal outcomes
- Work with customers to understand requirements and design solutions that align with their needs
- Present confidently to audiences ranging from operational users to executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product Management and other internal teams to share market feedback and support product innovation
- Represent Diligent through customer-facing events, webinars, and industry engagements
These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview:
- 3-5 years of experience in a Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar customer-facing technical role
- Proven experience delivering software demonstrations and presenting solutions to customers
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage audiences at all levels
- Experience working alongside sales teams to support complex software sales cycles
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, products, and business domains
- A proactive, self-driven approach with a passion for continuous learning and development
It would be great if you had these too, but we'll support you if you don't:
- Experience within Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Ethics & Compliance, Risk Management, or Third-Party Risk Management
- Experience working in a SaaS environment
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Gong, or similar sales enablement platforms
- Relevant certifications or specialist expertise in a compliance, risk, or governance domain
