As a Solution Architect in the Channels domain, you help design and evolve the digital channels that ING customers use every day, from mobile and web to assisted channels.

Working closely with engineers, product managers, and senior architects, you translate customer and business requirements into practical, scalable, and secure solutions. You contribute to a seamless omni-channel experience while ensuring that solutions align with ING's architectural standards and platform strategies.

Roles and responsibilities

• Design solution architectures for channel initiatives and product enhancements
• Translate business and customer requirements into clear solution designs
• Support the delivery of consistent customer experiences across channels
• Apply ING architecture principles, standards, and target architectures
• Collaborate with engineers, product leads, and senior architects to make informed design decisions
• Contribute to architecture reviews and solution governance processes
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, resilience, performance, and compliance
• Identify opportunities for reuse, simplification, and standardisation
• Participate actively in CoE architecture practices, knowledge sharing, and communities

• 5+ years of experience in IT, including experience in solution design or architecture-related roles
• Good understanding of: Digital channels (mobile and web) API-driven architectures and integrations Modern application and integration patterns
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and distributed systems
• Understanding of customer-facing applications and digital journeys
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
