We are looking for a Solutions Architect / Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data solutions that support enterprise applications, data warehouses, analytics, reporting, and integration platforms. The role will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into robust data architectures and models, ensuring data consistency, quality, scalability, and performance across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data modeling, solution and data architecture, data integration, data warehousing, and data governance, along with a solid understanding of enterprise data management best practices. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, developers, and other technology teams to define data structures, architecture standards, and solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture principles.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Data Modeling and Architecture: Develop and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models, designing scalable and high-performing data structures for enterprise applications, data warehouses, analytics, reporting, and real-time data environments.

·       Data Integration and Data Transformation: Define source-to-target mappings, data structures, transformation rules, and integration requirements to support ETL/ELT, data migration, and consolidation of data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and consistency.

·       Data Warehouse and Analytical Modeling: Design dimensional models, including Star and Snowflake schemas, optimized for reporting, business intelligence, analytical workloads, and data consumption requirements.

·       Data Governance and Standards: Ensure data models adhere to enterprise data governance principles, modeling standards, naming conventions, metadata requirements, data quality standards, and architectural guidelines.

·       Performance and Scalability: Review and optimize logical and physical data models to ensure efficient query performance, scalability, maintainability, and effective utilization of data platforms.

·       Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Data Architects, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define data models, and deliver solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.

·       Technical Documentation and Guidance: Document data models, design decisions, data definitions, and technical recommendations, and provide guidance to development and implementation teams on data modeling and architecture best practices.

 

Required Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, or related data-focused roles, preferably within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience in developing Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models, with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable data structures.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, normalization, denormalization, keys, relationships, constraints, and dimensional modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing, OLTP/OLAP architectures, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and source-to-target mapping.
  • Experience with data modeling and design tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, datavault, or equivalent enterprise modeling tools.
  • Good understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data standards, and data architecture principles.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms and complex data environments, including multiple source systems and data domains.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and design effective data solutions.
  • Strong documentation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, architecture, engineering, and technology teams.

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Experience with Teradata, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with real-time/streaming data and analytical platforms.
  • Experience in Telecom, Financial Services, or other large enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of AI/ML data requirements and data architecture.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
