Outback Spirit Tours is looking for passionate and professional Driver Guides to join our team for the 2027 touring season.

Our Driver Guides play an important role in bringing the Outback Spirit experience to life. We’re looking for Driver Guides who combine safe and confident driving with exceptional storytelling, local knowledge and a genuine passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences. While experience is highly regarded, we also welcome applications from enthusiastic candidates who are new to touring and eager to build a career in Australian tourism.

With the majority of our touring season running from March to October 2027, this is an opportunity to spend extended periods on the road, exploring incredible landscapes, connecting with remote communities and sharing some of Australia’s most iconic destinations with our guests. Accommodation and meals are provided for the full touring season.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Medium Rigid Licence or higher (essential)
• Commercial Passenger Endorsement (essential)
• Heavy vehicle and off-road driving experience highly regarded
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (valid for 12 months)
• Food Handling Certificate
• Kakadu Knowledge for Tour Guides Accreditation highly regarded
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and high presentation standards
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-focused approach
• A genuine passion for Australian tourism, travel and the outback
• The ability to work independently and confidently in remote environments
• Previous on-road touring experience highly regarded

Ideal candidates will be comfortable working independently in remote environments, adapting to seasonal and changing conditions, and confidently managing all aspects of the guest experience while delivering premium small-group experiences across some of Australia’s most extraordinary landscapes.
