You will work on high-performance, low-latency architectures and modern infrastructure, including Kubernetes, to support reliable services at scale. The role involves close collaboration with SRE, platform, and application teams and provides opportunities to work with modern tooling, large-scale distributed systems, and experienced engineering teams.

What you will accomplish:

  • Improve network security by implementing secure service communication, routing controls, hardening, and policy enforcement.

  • Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services running on Kubernetes across distributed environments.

  • Improve system latency and throughput through efficient architecture, profiling, benchmarking, and performance tuning.

  • Use logs, metrics, and traces to diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver reliability improvements.

  • Partner with SRE, platform, and application teams to integrate traffic and networking solutions safely and effectively.

  • Build experience with modern infrastructure, large-scale systems, and traffic engineering while benefiting from mentorship and growth opportunities.

What you will bring:

  • Proficiency in Java, C++, or Go, including knowledge of data structures, concurrency fundamentals, and debugging.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, load balancing, and TLS.

  • Understanding of Linux and distributed systems fundamentals.

  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers such as Docker, and service-to-service networking.

  • Familiarity with technologies such as Envoy, NGINX, or HAProxy and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.

  • Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking, or latency reduction; exposure to point-of-presence (PoP), edge, or global traffic-steering concepts is beneficial.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits.

  • Mentorship and growth opportunities.

  • Exposure to modern tooling and large-scale systems.
