Your Team, Your Impact

Connectivity group is a leader in PHY devices for AI, cloud data-center, and enterprise infrastructure. Our BU’s devices today power the full range of network connectivity from the optics of the AI GPU boards to the rack optical fibers and active copper cables of the data centers and their fabrics.

This specific team is responsible for the functional verification of the firmware that controls communication devices in data centers. To achieve this, we develop and maintain a modular testing platform in Python, built in-house, which allows us to automate testing processes and support devices across different technologies. Additionally, we are responsible for collecting and analyzing data to optimize product quality.

This role offers excellent growth opportunities, including:

Collaborating in a multicultural environment, working with diverse teams worldwide, and expanding your professional network.

Contributing to cutting-edge technology projects, gaining valuable experience in software quality assurance and verification.

What You Can Expect

As an engineer on this team, we expect you to be a key contributor in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. To achieve this, you will:

  • Gain expertise in the functional operations of high-speed (>= 1.6 Tb/s) networking PHYs, optical modules, and other high-performance connectivity devices.

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand product/feature requirements and usage models, designing comprehensive test plans.

  • Develop, implement, and optimize advanced automated test scripts, leveraging programming skills, particularly in Python, to ensure efficient and accurate verification processes.

  • Collect, maintain, visualize, and interpret test outcomes/data to continuously improve testing procedures and product quality.

  • Generate detailed bug tickets and regression reports for tracking and resolving issues promptly.

  • Work closely with other engineering teams to diagnose and resolve firmware and test issues efficiently.

  • Build and maintain software infrastructure and automation environments to support efficient and scalable testing processes

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application.

  • Proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on developing automated testing solutions.

  • Familiarity with embedded systems.

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages for embedded devices, such as C and C++.

  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) for collaborative development.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively share technical information.

  • Collaborative mindset, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software applications development.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with global teams in different geographical locations.

Additional Compensation and Benefit Elements

With competitive compensation and great benefits, you will enjoy our workstyle within an environment of shared collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity. We’re dedicated to giving our people the tools and resources they need to succeed in doing work that matters, and to grow and develop with us.
