An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join our client's Older Adults Community Mental Health Team supporting adults with mental health needs and cognitive impairment across Bath & North East Somerset.

What will your responsibilities be? 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will carry out a range of statutory social work duties, including:

• Strengths-based Care Act Assessments and Reviews
• Section 117 Assessments and Reviews
• Mental Capacity Act Assessments
• Court of Protection work, reports and recording, including S21A challenges
• Carers Assessments and support planning
• Commissioning and care package knowledge

The successful candidate will have experience working with older adults, strong risk assessment skills, and a sound understanding of the impact of mental ill health and cognitive impairment on daily functioning.

This is a community-based role, so access to your own transport is essential. Flexible working arrangements may be available once established within the team.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Social Work England registration 
• Eligible to work in the UK 
• Hold a full UK driving licence 
• Post-qualified experience 
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
