About this Social Worker - Looked After Children role at Liquid Personnel

Join a forward-thinking Looked After Children Team in Buckinghamshire where you will work with children in care to help them achieve stability, permanence, and positive life chances. You will collaborate with carers, families, and professionals to deliver tailored support and interventions.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Manage a caseload of children who are in the care of the local authority.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Ensure children’s placements (foster care, residential care, kinship care) are safe, stable, and supportive.
- Promote the child’s health, education, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring access to appropriate services.
- Maintain regular contact with children through statutory visits and direct work.
- Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
- Work closely with birth families, carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
- Support children through transitions, including reunification with family, adoption, or leaving care.
- Advocate for the child’s voice to be heard in all aspects of planning and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
