About this Social Worker - Child Protection Team role at Liquid Personnel
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join our client's Child Protection Team on the Isle of Anglesey.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated safeguarding team, supporting children and families where there are child protection concerns. You will undertake statutory responsibilities, complete assessments, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will have experience within Children's Services and be confident in managing child protection cases, undertaking assessments, and working within a multi-agency safeguarding framework.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Undertake child and family assessments, ensuring risks are identified and managed effectively.
- Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and Public Law Outline processes where appropriate.
- Work directly with children and families to assess needs, reduce risk, and improve outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and court documentation where required.
- Chair and attend multi-agency meetings, ensuring effective partnership working.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements and professional standards.
- Ensure the voice of the child is central to all assessments, planning, and interventions.
- Contribute to safeguarding investigations and child protection conferences.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Care Wales registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Degree level qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Post-qualified experience within Children's Services
- Experience working within Child Protection and Safeguarding teams
- Strong assessment, report writing, and risk management skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
