Start Your Legal Career Where It Matters.
The bar exam is behind you. Or almost behind you. Either way — you’re ready to get to work.
At Morgan & Morgan, we’re building one of the fastest-growing Social Security Disability practices in the country, and we’re looking for new attorneys who want to hit the ground running. You don’t need a decade of experience. You need drive, a sharp mind, and a genuine desire to fight for people who have nowhere else to turn.
Why Social Security Disability?
Every client who walks through our door has already heard the word denied. Denied benefits they paid into. Denied financial security. Denied the support they need now that they can no longer work. Your job — from day one — is to change that outcome.
SSD is a practice area that rewards preparation, persistence, and the ability to think on your feet. Sound familiar?
What We’re Looking For
We want people who came to law school ready to advocate — not just study. Strong academic credentials matter here. We’d especially love to hear from applicants who put in the reps: moot court, mock trial, advocacy competitions, law review, clinics, or any experience that sharpened your instincts for argumentation and persuasion.
If you graduated knowing you wanted to be in a courtroom — or something close to it — this is your on-ramp.
The Role
This is a full-time, in-office position in Orlando, FL, five days a week. We’re not a remote or hybrid shop — we’re a team that collaborates in person, learns from each other, and builds something together. If that kind of energy appeals to you, read on.
You’ll step into an established practice with a built-in client pipeline, experienced case managers, and mentorship from senior attorneys who’ve litigated thousands of SSD cases. You won’t be starting from scratch — you’ll be building on a foundation.
What You’ll Do
- Represent Social Security Disability clients at every stage of their claims
- Prepare clients for hearings and advocate on their behalf before Administrative Law Judges
- Manage an active caseload with the support of experienced case managers and staff
- Develop legal strategy, analyze medical and vocational evidence, and build compelling cases
- Work alongside a collaborative team all driving toward the same mission
Compensation
The salary range for this position is 65k-70k. We offer a competitive base salary plus a bonus structure tied to case resolutions (after a year of employment) — because we believe attorneys who deliver results should be rewarded for them. As you build your practice and your caseload grows, so does your earning potential.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school — strong academic record required
- Licensed in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, OR awaiting bar results, OR admitted and pending swearing-in — all are welcome to apply
- Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) Orlando, FL
- Moot court, mock trial, clinical experience, or other litigation-focused activities strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and ready to manage a high-volume caseload
- Genuine interest in building a career in Social Security Disability law
Who Thrives Here
Our best people are self-starters who like staying busy, take pride in moving cases forward, and find real satisfaction in fighting for clients at one of the hardest moments of their lives. If you’re looking for a place to learn fast, contribute early, and grow into a serious advocate — we’d like to meet you.
