US Mobile is building the future of wireless communication. The goal: one unified network open to any person and any device, worldwide. Connection without walls.
We’re getting there by empowering customers. All three major networks on one phone and one plan, plus home internet from Starlink. No lock-in. No commitments. Custom fit plans at every price point. 24/7 customer support with real people, empowered to help. We get real-time feedback from Reddit, surveys, and customer support informing product roadmaps and everything we do. It’s working: Consumer Reports named us the top-rated mobile carrier two years in a row.
And we’re building innovative systems that scale. A network agnostic tech stack. Agile, cross-functional teams built on trust and mutual respect. This work isn’t for everyone. If you work fast, flexibly, and collaboratively—without compromising standards—we want to hear from you.
About the role
Wireless carriers have spent decades sounding exactly the same — safe, corporate, forgettable. US Mobile is taking a different approach. We're building the first mobile carrier people actually want to follow, with a platform that’s genuinely different from anyone else.
We're looking for a Social Media Manager who lives on the internet, understands why things get shared, and can turn "your phone plan" into something people screenshot and send to their group chat. This is a hands-on role — you're not managing a team, you're the one in the docs, in the comments, and in the edit, every day. You'll own the day-to-day voice of US Mobile across every channel, while also being fluent enough in the numbers to know whether what you posted actually moved the business.
If you're the kind of person who reflexively drafts the perfect reply to a brand's Reddit thread before anyone asks you to — this is your job.
What You'll Do
Brand Voice and & Content
Own the day-to-day tone across TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, and YouTube
Partner with content team to conceive, script, shoot, and edit social-first content, from quick-turn reactive posts to planned campaign content
Build and manage the content calendar, balancing always-on posts with product launches, network news, and cultural moments
Spot trends and platform shifts early, and translate them into brand-relevant content
Partner with internal and external teams to keep messaging and brand experience consistent without sounding like a robot
Strategy & Performance
Set and report on social KPIs (e.g. follower growth, engagement, traffic, and downstream conversion/signups) and use them to shape what we make next
Run regular performance reporting and translate the data into specific "do more of this, kill that" recommendations
Identify and act on opportunities to turn organic social moments into acquisition or retention wins
Keep a pulse on competitors and the broader culture landscape to inform what US Mobile should be doing next
Community & Real-Time
Manage community interactions and inbound engagement across channels, maintaining a distinct, human brand voice in every reply
Monitor for and jump on real-time cultural and platform moments with a bias for speed over polish
Surface user-generated content, fan moments, and community insight back into the content pipeline
What We're Looking for
3–5 years of hands-on social media experience at a brand, agency, or fast-moving startup — bonus points if you've grown an account from a cold start
A portfolio or examples of content you personally created, wrote, or edited — not just campaigns you oversaw
Comfort being both the creative and the analyst: you can shoot/edit a TikTok in the morning and defend a KPI dashboard in the afternoon
Excellent, adaptable writing — you can shift tone across platforms without losing a consistent brand personality
A genuine, current relationship with the internet: you know why something is funny or shareable before it's explained to you
Bias for action — comfortable publishing and iterating in real time rather than waiting for a dozen rounds of approval
Experience with social analytics/listening tools
Benefits and Perks
Annual company offsite and hackathon in a global destination. Past locations include Dubai, Japan, and Hawaii, with New Zealand planned for 2027
Competitive Salary
Gym reimbursement
Commute reimbursement
Flexible working hours
Professional development stipend
Flexible time off
Cell phone service (up to $100/mo)
