About this Social and Multimedia Content Manager role at Locus Robotics

Locus Robotics · Hybrid · Wilmington, MA

At Locus Robotics, we build AI-powered systems and intelligent robots that keep global supply chains running. Our platform combines advanced AI, real-time decision-making, and autonomous robotics to help leading companies improve efficiency, scale operations, and adapt to constant change.

Locus Robotics is a place to do meaningful work with real-world impact, where your ideas move quickly from concept to deployment. We invest in our people, encourage continuous learning, and give you the opportunity to grow your career while building technology that is used every day at global scale.

The Social & Multimedia Content Manager will own, manage, and continually improve Locus Robotics’ global social media presence, turning social into a strategic channel for brand awareness, thought leadership, customer engagement, and business growth. We’re looking for someone who is deeply immersed in social and understands what makes people stop, watch, engage, and share. This person thinks beyond traditional B2B or B2C conventions and focuses on person-to-person connection, translating complex technology, customer stories, and industry conversations into content that resonates with the audiences we want to reach.

This is a highly autonomous role for a proactive communicator and natural owner. The right person brings ideas forward, keeps stakeholders aligned, and drives the social program forward.

  • This is a hybrid role based at our Corporate Headquarters in Wilmington, MA, with three days onsite per week. Candidates must be local to the area. Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Channel Management

  • Own, manage, optimize, and continuously improve our global presence across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and other priority social channels.
  • Develop and manage forward-looking social calendars aligned with business priorities, campaigns, customer stories, events, product initiatives, thought leadership, and content programs.
  • Define channel strategies, content mix, creative approaches, publishing cadence, and audience engagement based on business objectives and performance.
  • Define, launch, and manage our Instagram strategy, establishing the channel as a compelling platform for visual storytelling around robotics, innovation, customers, events, and company culture.
  • Identify opportunities proactively based on industry conversations, emerging trends, company activity, and what is resonating with our audiences.

Content & Multimedia Storytelling

  • Create platform-native content that earns attention.
  • Develop short-form video, photography, graphics, carousels, and other multimedia content for social channels and website.
  • Capture and produce content at events and around customer, product, employee, and company moments.
  • Reoptimize reports, customer stories, webinars, PR coverage, thought leadership, and other long-form content into engaging social-first formats.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity while adapting content to the expectations of each platform.

Global Collaboration & Ownership

  • Partner proactively with global and regional stakeholders across Marketing, PR, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Events, Sales, and leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with international teams to surface local stories and opportunities while maintaining a coordinated global social presence.
  • Drive initiatives forward by identifying what is needed, bringing recommendations to the table, establishing next steps, and keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Manage priorities, approvals, assets, and dependencies without requiring extensive day-to-day direction.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Track channel and content performance against defined objectives, including audience growth, reach, engagement, video performance, and traffic.
  • Use performance data to identify what is working, what isn't, and where we should adjust our strategy.
  • Continually test new formats, creative approaches, and content ideas to improve channel performance and audience engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ year experience managing social media for a B2B, technology, robotics, automation, SaaS, or similarly complex brand.
  • Demonstrated experience developing social strategy, not simply executing a publishing calendar.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging.
  • Strong understanding of the evolving role social media plays in search, AI, and LLM-driven brand discovery, with the ability to shape content and channel strategies that strengthen visibility beyond the platforms themselves.
  • Strong hands-on multimedia skills, particularly short-form video and visual content creation.
  • Deep understanding of LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and evolving social behaviors and formats.
  • Highly proactive, self-directed, and accountable, with demonstrated experience taking ownership and moving work forward independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working across global teams.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the confidence to bring forward recommendations and points of view, not simply execute requests.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn performance data into improvements in content and strategy.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively

The expected base salary range for this role is $85.000 - $120,000 annually, based on external market data, plus bonus and equity.  Actual offers will depend on factors such as the candidate’s experience, education, training, key or critical skills, geographic location, and current market and business conditions
